It is still incredibly silly, I just want to know how it ends. As long as they don't go for the same style of dreadful grief-porn ending as the last one.

I can see them setting up a crass and obvious "tragedy" for the finale in the hope of adding "poignancy" to what is otherwise just a daft bit of Gay Welsh Sci-fi.

Part 1 - set up a fantastic (if rather far-fetched) apocalyptic crisis scenario.
Part 2 - resolve said apocalyptic crisis in the first 20 minutes with some lazy magic-button-pushing so we can get on with another 25 minutes of mawkish sentimental "human drama."
