My best pal's album has just had a good review:
www.aaamusic.co.uk/2011/08/29/deep-cut-%E2%80%93-disorientation/Apparently it's 'a captivating dreamscape of delights' - just short of 'painting pictures with sound' and 'achingly beautiful'.
It's not bad if you like guitar pop music, but not really my scene.

how can a guitar pop album be anywhere close to 'a captivating dreamscape of delights'?
best review I've seen was in a local magazine that slated one of our CDs.
The reviewer said that listening to this band was like 'being stabbed all over with thousands of tiny sticks'

I don't understand how the musicians don't get bored playing it.

I think if you grew up on My Bloody Valentine and The Primitives
it's the sound you want to hear. I didn't, though.

My pal's band linked to above supported the Primitives last year.
I went and left 30 seconds into the Primitives. Shite.

^ I'm with Beardy on this one
A "dreamscape of delights," I fear it is not. I remain entirely unmoved by either of those tracks.
I can, however, imagine them being piped through the speakers in a small clothes shop that's trying to look a bit "indie."

My sister was once a singer for a band called Red 27
The Local paper slated them and said specifically of my sister "The singer only knows one note and unfortunately that note is somewhere between C and C#"
Quality review I thought, my mum cut it out and put it in a scrapbook.
