In the cab office, there were a lot of greeks/turks who were like that.They grew up with Ma' or Gran cooking, only left home when they got wives, ended up devorced and back at their ma's place... some of them got their sisters to come 'round and do it all for them too. I think it's quite pathetic to tell you the truth, some of them can put together an edible steak, but that's about it.
Which is really really strange considering how embedded food is into their culture.
