Once you're over there flights around are really cheap.
So it's within my budget to see Singapore/bankok/cambodia/vietnam. It's just getting the time and finding cheap accomidation.

Yeah sure, I don't know if I'll go that far south, because I'll have to get back to KL for the return flight but any advice is appreciated.

I found Singapore to be very westernised compared with say, Bangkok or Hong Kong.
It's very clean, very safe but just lacks the character of those other places.

A mate of mine took a sabbatical about ten years ago and went on a six month holiday to Thailand and Vietnam. He spent longer in Thailand but said he wished he'd had more time in Vietnam.
