Same again
Only starting a thread to junk that moron below's thread below the fold - I'm not stomping.

Please ignore it this thread and continue to contribute to the Captain's.

If it bothers you that much there's an ignore button, I don't believe anyone else really cares.

(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 19:41, Reply)

Oi oi Rory - you're quite right - problem is for others that if they don't already have him on ignore then they'll see it at least once. Which might not be good at work. I'm not the only one to ask him to remove it and tbh it's his refusal that's getting on my moobs.

How are things with you, you provocative cunt?

Has it been removed or is it someone I'm ignoring anyway?

(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:21, Reply)
Hello scouse! been a while - hope you're well
It's still there so I guess you have apeloverage on ignore.
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:23, Reply)
Ah right, maybe I do yeah.
I've just had chicken green peppers blackbean sauce.
How's things?
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:27, Reply)
Great thanks. Married. 33 day old daughter who's doing well. All fucking good ta.
Work still has it's challenges though - but feel more able to deal with them then I did.

I am also cooking chicken - thai red curry.

Oh yes.
Aren't you getting married soon? Or has this already happened? Or have I put my foot in it because it isn't happening?
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:42, Reply)
Haha, well we haven't set a date
but it'll be a tiny wedding so as soon as we're relocated in Edinburgh we can start thinking about it!
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:45, Reply)
We got married in Edinburgh as that's where my wife is from. Fantastic place.
Got to know it pretty well so happy to share recommendations on bars, pubs, restaurants etc if you'd like. Maybe even able to offer a bit of more boring advice too re where to look at living etc. Gaz me whenever if you'd like.
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:49, Reply)
Reliable letting agent websites would be good!
I have fallen in love with the place. Can't wait to explore properly while living there.
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:51, Reply)
I don't see what the big deal is.
Why should he remove it just because someone asks him to? B3ta is his, as much as it is yours, or mine. Only Rob and the mods have the authority to get stuff taken down. This is off topic anyway, it's not like there's a codified set of rules for what one can post.

If I'd written a book/ made a record/ done some standup I'd pimp it on here.
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:30, Reply)

The image is a problem for some accessing here from work - plus the poster has said he won't remove the image despite polite requests. That refusal, combined with the blatant sales approach grates.

I'm not asking a mod to remove it - just asking the poster to be less of a cunt.

Not going to say anymore as I don't want to give the poster any more attention.

BTW - are you going to the bash on Sat? (too lazy to look at the calendar)
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:41, Reply)
But why should he remove the image? It's hardly NSFW.
And for people accessing B3ta from work, well, they shouldn't really be doing that, should they? Apeloverage has done nothing to break any rules. 'Asking him politely' carries with it the chance of a polite refusal. Which appears to have happened.

Grow up- B3ta isn't anybody's (except for Ginger Rob) so either put him on ignore or just accept that the image is there.

And re. the Bash, alas, no. I was asked to co-DJ with Monty but I can't afford the York-London train fare. Which is very upsetting. I would love to meet these zany B3tans and get to play rekkids with Monts.

It's spam.
Unless you're Joel Veitch, the dude who runs the Cat Survival Trust, or a mediocre boyband with a particularly aggressive lawyer, spam ist verboten.

Did you like that Mo Wax mix?
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 21:59, Reply)
Aye, it wor a good'un.
I have half a mind to comb through the original sources and see what they're like.
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 22:01, Reply)
You'll have a job.
There's about fifty tracks squeezed in to that 37 minute mix. I can linkify you to most of them if you want.

Me too.
I've decided that my favourite Unkle lineup was Lavelle/ Goldsworthy/ Kudo. They did Ape Shall Never Kill Ape, Rock On and Berry Meditation.

The best tune that the Shadow era lineup did was this one www.youtube.com/watch?

CHRIST JESUS AND ALL HIS LITTLE FISHIES
Just eaten the tasting menu in a Michelin-starred restaurant and it was the best thing I've ever put in my mouth, and that includes boobies and ladybits.

The food! The wine! Incredible! I am possibly never eating out again. The little monologues on the origin of the wine for each course were informative and entertaining, the duck literally dissolved in the mouth, Krug has made me re-assess my disdain for champagne... Wow. I took my dad and he admitted that if he were a woman he'd totally sleep with me if I hadn't made him pay for the drinks.

Purnells, Simpsons or Turners?
they're the only three I know of.
(, Thu 29 Sep 2011, 23:55, Reply)
Purnells
It was amazing.

I figured it as something I should do once, while I had the money, but I can easily see myself doing it again.
