I bruised my ribs falling on to a washing line pole sticking out of the ground.
It was the worst three weeks of my life, it was in May and I have hayfever. Sneezing was agony.

I bruised my ribs a few years back, thankfully there was no sneezing, but it wasn't pleasant.

My Dad did the same a few years back, I had to help him to his chair from where he'd done it
It was a bit frightening, we were very thankful when it turned out to only be a muscle injury, rather than a slipped disc.

5 days of absolute agony
I lost 8 hours when I took the painkillers though. Once I came back from the "trip" to find myself sitting on the sofa with a pizza, can of Coke and the footy on, which wasn't too bad
