A&E is not a good place for a 5 week old.
There's a clinical and child protection risk there and so should have been moved as soon as possible.

True, but the cogs of A&E turn very slowly
If he was that concerned he could have left with the kid or sat in the canteen. Her old dear is around surely she should have picked the kid up from the hospital.
