some lager is OK.
But most of the stuff we get over here is gash. Staropramen (probably misspelt) is OK though.

I've had that, it's just about palatable
has your ear been buggered in to submission?
(, Sun 9 Oct 2011, 21:03, Reply)
Nope, ear still shit.
Star is decent, but if you can find a good german pub Zeitgeist in London is the only one I know if can change your perceptions. Germans know how to do beer, and this is coming from a life-long bitter and ale man who is not a lager fan.

Oh, I don't mind weissbier
I have discovered it gets me absolutely hammered, however.

I'd go for American myself
They do beer in lager conditions and it's good.

There's a Scottish brewery - Schallion? - that do a fermented lager. That's ace but it gets you pissed from your feet upwards.

Best way to get pissed.

You feel perfectly fine until you go for a wee
Then you fall flat on your face.

(, Sun 9 Oct 2011, 21:24, Reply)

Yank beer in Yank land
Is excellent.

It means a 3500 mile detour but it's worth it.

They've got into the microbrew thing over there big time.
(, Sun 9 Oct 2011, 21:24, Reply)
The Czechs are also expert lager-brewers.
