I don't really care about the cuts of meat, I quite like the "shit" cuts if they're cooked well.
Anyway here are the ingredients for the chili I had
Ingredients: Ingredients: Tomatoes (Water, Tomatoes, Tomato Paste), Beef, Water, Kidney Beans, Pink Beans, Dehydrated Onions, Chili Seasoning (Spices, Paprika, Sugar, Salt, Flavoring), Modified Cornstarch, Jalapeno Peppers (Contains Salt, Acetic Acid, Vinegar), Flavoring, Salt, Dehydrated Bell Peppers, Spices.
Only the modified cornstarch on that is even a slight problem

Snap on the "quality argument"

That and the large amounts of salt.
and the dehydrated vegetables which won't contain much in the way of beneficial nutrition oh and the rest of the argument I just made above.

By scraggy bits of meat, I don't mean cheaper cuts, like skirt and brisket, I mean the bits of gristle they use water hoses to blast off the carcass and then sweep up with brooms before compressing it into blocks.

It's 0.33% sodium by weight so 0.6% salt, which isn't excessive.
I don't really see a problem with this stuff occasionally, you'll all be eating it by the time of the apocolypse.

I wouldn't recommend it daily, put it this way
But once or twice a week it is fine to have cheap crap or fatty/sugary treats as long as the rest of your diet is healthy.
