What are the names of the best, say, 5 of his books.
I'll read them and decide if I want to pursue him after that.

I don't think he's writen more than4 or 5 novels anyway.
I'd say either American Gods or Neverwhere are the best, depending if your more interested in London or theology. Them there,s Stardust and Anansi boys and his kids stuff, which is not bad, but kids stuff... WIki pedia Interworld which I haven't read to this list. Oh and there's Good omens which I liked, but it may depend on you pratchet tolerance.
