Hendricks is better. I'm trying to remember the name of a bottle of gin that the woman in Oddbins had behind the counter. It was ace.

I have to spend £70 to get the discounts!

I've got an excellent lighty-up thing for the bottom of BS gin. The bottle glows blue. I am aware this is sad but I like it

I found it to be overrated.

but when younger I woke up early in the morning after a heavy night's drinking and blearily reached for the pint of water on the beside table. Sadly for me it was neat gin

an excellent start to the morning. It's this incident that goes some way to convince me that it's not that I have a miraculous anti-hangover power, but that I am perpetually drunk

Nothing against in small quantities at appropriate times, but in the morning?

It has a particular effect on an aspect of my personality that the various assembled boyfriends did not appreciate.

I have seen a grown man weep about very minor matters after a night on the gin.
I have the occasional one as an aperitif but that's it - partly as gin hangovers are amongst the worst.

Much less embarrassing.

I'd either get the Gordons or go one better

Tanqueray, Plymouth or Blackwoods for a day-to-day gin. Caorunn, Tanqueray 10 or Sipsmith for the more serious drinks.
But then I'm apparently the only person in the world that doesn't like Hendricks, either. So I'm probably wrong. Except, of course, I'm me, so I'm not.
And, anyway, as I've said four hundred times before - it's less about the gin and more about the tonic. If you're going to use schweppes of any kind or (god forbid) slimline tonic you might just as well start with meths.

And I keep meaning to buy Fever Tree Ginger Ale so I can tuck into my bottle of Hendricks properly. No point using Canada Dry...

I like Schepppes slimline but only as a drink on its own I wouldnt ruin good booze with it.
