but the kids of the generation who voted 51% SUP would be more open minded, while still wanting to vote for the same basic policy.

I think the biggest factor in their favour is that they are not Labour, Tory or Lib Dem.
All the three main parties are historically unpopular. The SNP were pretty much a protest vote.
