The Scots get a day off for St Andrew's Day, the Welsh get one for St Daffyd and the Irish* don't half make a meal of St Patrick's. Now obviously I think the religious significance of these days is just patent horse-shit, but in the name of consistency, it seems only fair that we should get St George's Day granted to us to spend as we see fit**.

*Well, ok, more like the vast percentage of Americans who spontaneously decide they're Irish on that day...

Our local St George's Day parade is organised by a BNP guy, I think he was a prospective councillor.
In fact, he had Griffin over for a celebratory piss-up in his pub, when he was elected to the European parliament.
Over here, we have a massive St Patrick's day parade, and a amssive Irish festival, a big Caribbean parade, a Diwali festival and a huge Eid festival, so the BNP organising St Georges is pretty sad.
I'm part Scot, part Irish, part Lithuanian, so it doesnt really matter to me.
