The Welsh accent is lovely you spastic.
Brummie is worst. The end.

Monty is 100% right on all of the above counts
Especially the spastic bit. You spastic.

God he really is an EPIC SPAZMO.

I think all you spastics are getting muddled up here
It is working class accents that are repulsive. Brummies and Welshies with proper breeding sound fine. Your common or garden oiks, regardless of where they are from, sound awful.

I've never heard a Brummie accent that didn't make me want to rip my own ears off
Granted, there are levels of hideousness, but only in the respect that there are bad Michael McIntyre jokes and fucking appalling Michael McIntyre jokes

Stop hanging around the rough areas of Birmingham then.
I'd have thought you were more of an Edgbaston man?

shirley
it's funny because it sounds like surely, but shirley is also quite posh.

It's no Solihull

Do you pronounce it Sew-lihull or Soll-ihull?

TB lives in Shirley
I can assure you it's not.

Given the choice, you'd be right
Ironically I have to go to Birmingham Sunday for a Ballroom competition *shudders*

Brummies with breeding?
You are having a fucking laugh, old chap.
(, Thu 10 Nov 2011, 14:17, Reply)
You have to think relatively
In the kingdom of the Brummies, the man with opposable thumbs is king. Or something
(, Thu 10 Nov 2011, 14:21, Reply)
In fairness, it depends which part of Wales.
It's not all the sound of daffodils and butterflies and songs of the valley.
(, Thu 10 Nov 2011, 13:59, Reply)
I don't even mind the Merthyr Tydfil twang.
But that's because I associate it with a chap I know who is fucking hilarious.

'You may only have half the money, but you're going to get the whole beating' - in a classic Welsh accent. Priceless.
