even at about 2-3am
when house parties turn into a mass of people cuddling up to their partners and going to sleep? That always makes me sad

Not really.
Drugs made us all cuddly with each other. It was akin to an orgy but with our clothes still on.

That was in the past though.
Current friends just aren't like that.

That's one of my favourite things about doing bumbles.
The raving part is great, don't get me wrong, but it flies by. Best bit is always back at someone's gaff, hot sweet tea, spliffs and coming down. Taxi home at 6 am, asleep by 9 am then up at 12.

I miss all that.

I enjoyed it all but I don't miss it.

I very much miss it.
But I am too old, too skint and my short to medium term memory is too damaged to go back to those heady days of speckled Mitsubishi's, skunk and raving.

One time, after I went to see Unklesounds DJing (James Lavelle had missed his plane so it was only Rich File) I had way too many bumbles. Mega strength shit. I walked about three miles back to my mate's gaff and collapsed outside.

Great night all in all, when Rich File played Hand to Phone by Adult. the whole fucking place went off.

Cool story.

There is way more to it than that.
The full tale involves an extremely cute cloakroom girl, throwing up while in the queue because I was coming up hard, having to remain calm in front of the bouncers, walking through Aberdeen at 4 am and it being daylight, dancing to breakbeat, recovering from the ordeal and a five hour train journey home with that burned out, empty headed feeling that only high grade ecstasy comedowns can give you.

Amazing.

It is really but hard to explain to someone who doesn't partake.

(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 20:11, Reply)
same can be said for larp

(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 20:11, Reply)
I used to partake.
However even when I did I struggled with the anecdotes of others.

I am in a shit mood this evening. Ignore whatever I say.

Been for brain scans today - never a pleasant experience and reminds me of my epilepsy, which I typically am able to forget on a day to day basis.

Sorry! I forgot you mentioned it.
It's people like you that remind me I should MTFU and count my blessings.
