I still like Buddy Holly today, nothing wrong in that.I guess my problems with the Eagles is more to do with them representing the point in history where the middle of the road took over.
The Eagles have their place in my musical past (I once took the trouble to learn all the lead guitar parts from Hotel California), but I'm over it now.
