Thankfully, I've not logged into facebook in about 4 years. I'm sure I'm not missed.
How much longer are you away for?

What has teaching in the states taught you?

It goes, Excellent, Good,Satisfactory, Serious Improvement needed, Shit
It has taught me that many small steps, repeated and reinforced is the best way to teach 4 yr olds. And hold my enormous girth.

plannedto teach rhythm then have them experiment with percussion instruments but they really struggled with it andI spent so long going over the basics ran out of time to do anything fun really.

and have them clap in time with you counting 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 before getting them to stop counting and saying tea, tea, tea, tea, instead. Once they have this under control you can teach double time by saying cof-fee. Then you can start combining the two in different ways.Ideally you do this over an hour and they do loads of fun activities on percussive instruments but we had 25 minutes do to them being a nightmare getting changed from PE so it was rushed and shit.
