I thought this place would be full of christmas grouches. Or at least people who wait a while before getting excited

Father Ted christmas special is on at ten this evening.
This is still no reason to feel remotely festive.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 21:48, Reply)
I just can't wait to have to sit through
coronation street christmas specials at high volume and surrounded by low level hostility
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 21:50, Reply)
I'll bet you love it.

Doing anything fun for New Years Eve?

(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 21:54, Reply)
no idea
the people I'd usually go see at new years just had a baby, so I guess there'll be no party there. Also, I have no idea when I'll be moving house.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 21:55, Reply)
I'm pretty sure you won't be moving on New Years Eve or the following day.

(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 21:59, Reply)
no, but it'll make a difference as to whether I go away for
new year or not. Perhaps I could even invite people over to mine
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:00, Reply)
That's something to look forward to.
And next year you'll have to have a party.
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:02, Reply)
yeah
but I'm wallowing in self pity and know that all my friends will bring their significant other and just make me feel more alone when they leave. But tomorrow when I get the fuck over myself it will be something to look forward to
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:04, Reply)
Make some resolutions for 2012.

(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:06, Reply)
i can't think past a week monday at the moment
and the things I want to change aren't things I'd have much control over
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:07, Reply)
Well a new house is pretty exciting.

(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:08, Reply)
it really is
I just never thought I'd buy my first house on my own and in city I didn't really want to be in.

I got the stuff about it the other day. The guy who had it before was 80something and died earlier this year. He bought it with his wife 22 years ago, she died less than a year later. Sad story
(, Sun 4 Dec 2011, 22:10, Reply)
Just keep in mind that you don't have to live in the house forever.
So if you do ever change jobs or relocate, it isn't the end of the world.
