Had a half day Friday, managed to be in and out of the hospital in an hour, which I consider a success. Then, met up with some friends for a few beers, before getting an early night.
Saturday wasn't bad, met with a friend for an afternoon pint, later on went to see the Christmas lights being turned on (they are shit), nipped home, cooked a rather spicy stew, then headed to his to watch a film and have a few beers. All in all, quite a good day.
Sunday I did washing, some tidying, and that's about it really. I watched 2012, that film is utter tosh. The only upsides to it are the scale of the destruction being so OTT it's entertaining, and the fact that most people die. Sadly, they still save quite a few, and the majority are American (as fucking ever). Either way, don't waste your time watching it.

but some dickhead decided that an appropriate safety feature is that you can't start the engines when the doors are slightly open.
And that they didn't make the door closing motors, which are clearly critical to the main engines being able to work, strong enough to be able to just crush a rather weedy pneumatic drill within the enormous fuck off gears.

Then again, I was fairly amused that the blonde woman died, and no-one actually gave a shit.
It's like the directors understood how the rest of us felt at that point.

The Queen made it though. Small mercies and all that.
