I wrote and ran a test case for my cunning planto combine two pieces of code. One runs in about 10 seconds when a record loads and one runs once a month on the entire database so a bit harder to get a time for.
However, my brilliant idea took 15 minutes, which isn't really very good when 2000 records are loaded a day. We might build up a bit of a backlog.
Back to the drawing board tomorrow...
