Oh dear lordy, I did a "What the hell do people find funny about his sketches" thing on facebook, and it seemed to be split 50/50.
His pannel-show work is good, but his stand-up and sketches are just not funny at all. I think the only people who like it are those cunts who say things like "You just don't understand the humour, you don't have a degree like I do".

I'm with you on this one Gonz
The media are afraid to point out how unfunny he is because that wouldn't be "cool". Badly Drawn Boy syndrome.

I once youtubed one of his stand-ups, 4 out of 5 minutes was him pretending to be a fly.
The audiance was errupting up'n'down in laughter, I couldn't work out why/when they were clapping and cheering, compared to when they wern't. It was all one long ramble, which wasn't funny at all. The only thing that I guess could be funny is the fact that he's not funny yet gets these shows... but I don't need to watch his shows to understand that 'joke'.

I found his popularity genuinely perplexing
He was so obviously utter shite that I concluded that every Radio 1 DJ was simply too scared to stand up and say "hang on..." for fear of being deemed past it
