Yeah! I thought the accounts would be'interesting'
I've worked for offshore companies before but this is the first time I've not been paid in Sterling. Hopefully I can find a creative enough accountant so my tax bills will be small!

Good thing about Germany is their international payment charges are stupidly cheap.
There's a bit of European legislation that says an international payment can't be more than a domestic one, which is why chaps payments in the UK are 25 quid plus but Germany always had a tradition of their domestic payments being very cheap.

You could consider opening an account in Germany and having the money paid to you there before moving here, to manage the conversion rates. Although, I'm not sure what that would do to your tax status.

A good accountant pays for themselves, it's a bill I never mind spending, 'cus otherwise I'd be spending a hell of a lot more.
