however, if the noise is perfectly reasonable and is not a nuisance and you are just being a whinging little pussy, then yeah. they can't do anything.

Also noise caused intermitantly over several weeks is not going to result in the council doing anything.
But it's still rather irritating having 5 minutes of loud buzzing every 20 minutes or so.

that's a v different thing. there is stuff you could do to force them if it is bad enough.

but i doubt it's that bad. you are just going to have to suck it up.
