see when people get that big i can't help but think:"it's not like he is going to the shops, or even the fridge by himself, so all it takes for him to loose weight is for who ever feeds him to give him less" this should work at least until he's down to a mobile weight. Looked at another way somebody is killing him by giving him that much food.
