I cried at the birth of my first kidbut that was after 24 hours without sleep and it was a fucking terrifying experience involving an ambulance dash to hospital with me convinced either my wife or child would not survive*
When the second one was born it was much quicker and was all over by dinner time, without much fuss.
*They were of course both fine.
