I listened to that track this morning. You were also correct about that.
Try not to let all this go to your head.

Nice work.
What about Dr Octagon? Late 90s project, Kool Keith from the Ultramagnetic MCs and Dan the Automator.
Look up Bear Witness and Earth People.

I love autechre (well, their early stuff, when they weren't strangers to melody).

I was much more of an indie kid then and there was a lot of hip hop, which I struggled to relate to (inc Public Enemy, El-P) having no real reference points. There was lots of nice electronica, Aphex Twin's DJ set was amazing and Sunn o))) just confused me at first, but I later learned to love them.

I kind of followed them during their brief glory days in 1987

How can you not get hip hop?
Weird.
And Sunn O))) are superb.

And though I kind of enjoyed it, like I said - I had no real reference points. I'm a white, English, middle-class indie kid.
Monoliths and Dimensions was one of my favourite albums of 2010. I saw them play with Om in Birmingham and it was amazing.
