I was assaulted a few years back, no conviction
Then, I had money stolen from me 2 1/2 years back, the lad was caught, convicted, and made to pay the money back. Fucker still owes me £25 though.

I've never had a run in with the police where I've been in trouble, been interviewed as a witness once, but that's it.

Bearing in mind the costs to the CPS, the police, and the courts service I reckon you should have been charged with the offence of being a complete dick for giving someone else your pin

showing my age now
but my friend had something similar at university - one of his housemates had been stealing cheques from all of them all year. he had actually cut out the stub as well, so none of them had noticed. eventually he got caught when my friend used his chequebook himself and the bank spotted the different signature.
