Moving away from home to go to college, then meeting the first wife and deciding not to go back home once studying had finished.
Getting into a job I hated and then spending the next 12 years trying to extricate myself from it, only to finally succeed in getting a job I loved right at the moment my marriage went tits up was fairly life affecting. Then meeting the missus about 18 months afterwards.
Taking voluntary redundancy last year - there have been times over the last ten months when I've thought "Why the fuck did I do that?" Fortunately, fingers crossed, things seem to be looking up.
Would I change any of it? No.

I'm just waiting for the confirmation to come through due to the Easter bank holiday. Hopefully today will be the last time I sign on for a long time.

Don't know what the company policy of going going for a pint at lunch time is, but I will happily meet you after work some time. The office is just behind the Centre for Life, so only a kick up the arse away from the station.
