FACTS

(, Tue 22 May 2012, 15:24, Reply)
windows aren't invisible either
unless they've been polished up big style
(, Tue 22 May 2012, 15:26, Reply)
How do you see out then?

(, Tue 22 May 2012, 15:27, Reply)
with an almost perfectly clear line of vision
but there is almost always some reflection or mark which reminds you that there is a window there

Glass is see through because the molecules are all higgle-de-piggledy
rather than being in a repeating pattern, this is why "liquid metal" can be both metallic and see through because the molecules aren't aligned.
