Erm... that's not quite correct and you know this.
I proposed. She said yes. We started trying for a kid straight away as Ms Battered was 36 at the time, her sister had had to have IVF and we didn't know how long it would take for her to conceive. Turns out she conceived almost immediately, we then pulled the wedding date forward from October to June, as she wanted to be married before our daughter was born.

You, on the other hand, seem to be married but haven't yet become a parent. This could be because you & your wife have decided to wait, but I suspect it's got more to do with you spending so much time digging holes it's rendered you infertile.
