Yet you went to see the Stone Roses?

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 12:50, 1 reply, 13 years ago)
I was reminded of how shit it all was, I'm dreading Glastonbury, and that's for the posh bit of it and all

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 12:53, Reply)
I'm going next year, we should meet up and talk about the mud.
..or toilets
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 12:54, Reply)
the best way of doing Glastonbury is to sit in the hospitality tent, get drunk and watch it on the tv

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 12:56, Reply)
I found it perfectly OK getting leathered by 9:30am each day

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:02, Reply)
Most things are tolerable using this method.

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:04, Reply)
Work is so much better

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:09, Reply)
That still involves travelling to the arse end of Somerset
to see some fairly average music.
Or is it all about mixing with the beautiful people for you?
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:04, Reply)
Nice countryside, there's generally some good djing going on as warm ups out the back, you get a better standard of tosser, nicer toilets, showers, and someone aint nicked the entire contents of your tent

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:10, Reply)
Did you shit in the Manic's toilet?

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:11, Reply)
i don't know how to answer that

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:16, Reply)
i read it as "manc's"
if that helps
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:21, Reply)
Right-on, left-wingers the Manic Street Preachers once posted a very angry notice
on their PERSONAL PRIVATE BACKSTAGE toilet at Glastonbury or somewhere, EXTREMELY ANGRY that someone other than them had used it.
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:24, Reply)
christ, how would they know?
what kind of a mess was it- you know what, don't go there
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:27, Reply)
this is how i did the isle of wight, courtesy of mr branson and his fancy virginal tent
free bar, free food and clean real toilets, as well as a balcony overlooking the stage from which i could practically touch bowie's hair. totally worth selling out.
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:05, Reply)
sell out all the way
i seen the toilets out front once, never again
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:14, Reply)
two magic words.......
CORPORATE HOSPITALITY
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:21, Reply)
All the major festivals are so corporate, it's brilliant
but for them everything would be third world camping in a field of faecal matter and dysentery
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:27, Reply)
which people who don't have the contacts to get the corporate hospitality will rubbish
naturally
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:29, Reply)
WELL SOME PEOPLE CANT AFFORD THAT
It's all about wandering around talking to strangers and lolling and seeing bands you've never heard about and drinking chai tea.
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:07, Reply)
I think the only non-alcoholic drink that passed my lips all the time I was there was a coffee
One
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:09, Reply)
I drank shit tons of water, but more beer.

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:11, Reply)
well yeah, you can do that as well, there's always some good sights in the further reaches of the site
but after all the exertion, it's just time to chill man. I don't need to crowd surf or mosh out to kenickie on the other stage to have a totally wicked time
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:14, Reply)
did you buy VIP tickets or are they through work?
I was thinking of maybe getting one of those already set up tents next year.
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:19, Reply)
You don't buy VIP tickets
They are usually free.
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:22, Reply)
You can buy hospitality packages.

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:23, Reply)
I wouldn't bother
They'd only buy you access to a fenced off area in between the public area and the backstage area.
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:26, Reply)
and a semi permanent structure with proper protection against the elements what with rain being guaranteed, a nice bed, bogs, shower, and security

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:30, Reply)
Usually closer parking as well.

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:36, Reply)
Last time was the backstage tickets, so not on general release. My chums tend to organize caravan camping or some shit so you end up with a bed and facilities that wouldn't look at home in Bangladesh.
totally worth it
(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:24, Reply)
Hook a b3ta bruvva up yo

(, Tue 10 Jul 2012, 13:26, Reply)
