But I have experience with large grocery reatilers, and the amount of effort that goes into ranging the correct products is incredible and far more complex than we sell lots of X so stock more.

I'm a analyst, you say it's a lot of effort but the principle maths is based on not being sold out.
Just on enourmous databases. The "effort" and "thought" is managment bull shit, it's a formular.
