I can't believe it, Monts.
Who would have thought it possible?*

*It would have to be someone who'd at least heard of them, I reckon.

Never in my life would I have imagined that they would perform again,
let alone with me there. They were 'awesome', as I believe the parlance has it these days.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:02, Reply)
But would you describe their performance as 'epic'?

(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:03, Reply)
I bet they were achingly beautiful.

(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:04, Reply)
i believe modern parlance is 'totes amaze'

i wanted to find somewhere to take a friend who is v into old skool, trance, dnb and gabbber, thought it would be fun to find a nice shop and have a browse, you know?

Berwick St
Ignore reply below.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:12, Reply)
it is indeed great fun.
Go to Phonica in Soho. Or Blackmarket Records if it's still there.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:13, Reply)
Also Sounds of the Universe is a superb shop.

(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:19, Reply)
Blackmarket closed I think.
Too many blacks.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:19, Reply)
but if he likes bent shit like hard house, trance and gabber then don't go to Phonica.
They sell good stuff.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:32, Reply)
Yep, buy him presents.
That's the way to move on!
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:19, Reply)
Berwick St is still good, it all depends what genre you're after though.
I suspect this relates to that awful gayboy and dance records. I am right aren't I?

The other question is whether you are talking about browsing and shopping or seeking out a specific record - if it's the latter only a fool would go anywhere other than the internet. If there's something you want to buy for that ghastly man gaz me its name.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:12, Reply)
you are bang on the money, yes
as always.

just browsing. the chutney is giving up alcohol for two months after today, so my original plans to go out in those fab bars down the cut in waterloo have been shelved. therefore i thought it would be fun to go somewhere for the day, and for that somewhere to have a good record shop.

Suggest he gives up breathing.

(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:20, Reply)
haha
after that shit last night, it's not a bad suggestion. eg: "i think my brother would be really happy with his other half if she were hotter".

wtf?
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:23, Reply)
What a vile specimen.

(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:26, Reply)
yes, i thought that
he's a total twat about that.
(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:30, Reply)
Here's an idea: go somewhere for the day where he isn't.

(, Fri 20 Jul 2012, 12:22, Reply)
Imagine how happy you'll be
If Fresh n Fly reform.
