After the scary squiff landing we hadI did a little searching to see if this was common (it is). It seems a 747 is designed to be able to land at up to 45 degrees crabwise and be fine, due to it being unable to roll that close to the ground as it bangs the outer engine into the floor, and people get upset if that happens.
YouTube shows this happening, brown trousers all round I bet.
