I had an anaphylactic shock once during an operation and nearly died.When mr b3th came to pick me up, they took him into a little room to tell him, and he thought he'd have to tell my mum they'd killed me.
A couple of years before that I had a kidney infection and my kidneys started to shut down. That was amusing.
I don't think either of these were particularly heroic though. I don't think I've ever done anything heroic : (
