The point is will the sale of a fuckton of west london land for development and the increased capacity be worth making an entire island in the Thames estuary with 4 runways on it.

There's also that ship full of explosives that has been sitting there since world war 2 that they have to get rid of.

And, it's probably one of the few places around the south east which would actually be less accessible than the existing airport, unless they want build even more crossings Dartford to ease the massive traffic jams that would immediately be caused.
