At the risk of boring everyone shitlessiirc gaming processing isn't quite the same as "normal " everyday processing, so consoles and expensive graphics cards are optimised for gaming, and an everyday PC is not (so much).
Apparently a cheap PC with an expensive graphics card in will piss on an expensive one with cheap graphics, but may be less good at other stuff.

it's all pushing pixels, if they can do it in iOS, then I don't see why they can't do it elsewhere, it's not like an iphone is heavyly disigned for this.(
