I saw Ross Noble at the Oxford Glee last year
he was his usual excellent self. Plus the New Theatre (the one on George St rather than the one opposite the Ashmolean) usually sees most of the smaller comedians. The little theatre in Summertown also has some decent people, sometimes. Oxford's not that bad.

All weekends though unfortunately,
and I very very rarely get a weekend off.
Actually, Oxford Glee is usually good for some bits. I didn't though ththeatre in summertown did comedy, i will keep eye out.

Aren't you the manager, though?
you're supposed to have minions for that sort of shit.

As true as this is,
I would be a terrible Manager if i wasn't there for the key shifts. Weekends, especially Saturdays where the upstairs bar is open, are tough to run in that place, and at the moment i haven't got a strong enough assistant to leave them all.

I find it irritating that Al Murray is a genuinely intesting and clever man,
and yet that character is so fucking shit and rubbish.

His series on D-Day etc was excellent.
The pub landlord thing is like a modern Alfred Garnett, some people laugh at the jokes without realising how sad the character really is.
