sort of, yes
it's because they love people and are really gentle and friendly, without an ounce of violence.

i can think of many, many people i would rather test drugs and cosmetics on than a helpless beagle.

That breaks my heart.
I was in Taipei airport and there were a load of old Chinese people who were having problems with the escalator having never seen one before.

It was endearing and then swiftly irritating.

cruelty to animals drives me mad, i can't bear those rspca programmes
but i would quite happily pay to drip acidic shampoo in davina mccall's eyes, for example.
