Why would they ignore the EU on a point of lawbut then follow the EU by paying compensation for ignoring the law?

They would try, but they would continue to loseand what makes a headline even worse is "Government wastes enormous amounts of public money fighting a legal case it knew it was going to lose and then ha to pay out anyway"
