... It doesn't have to be ancient to be good, anyway. Sussex is superb and that's 60s build.If it's a redbrick or plateglass, it's good.
(I've not applied to Sussex btw, but praise where it's due. Same , of course, applies to Oxbridge/St Andrews et al)

Was it a former poly/ uni college?Not that that'd make it bad. Plymouth is quite good.
