if she has extra money to save each month then she is getting too many benefits fact
I find one spends whatever is in the bank, regardless of how much it might be.

That's such a stupid argument.

So if someone gets into debt at the end of each month she should get more benefits?

I never said this was reciprocal

(, Tue 11 Dec 2012, 15:30, Reply)
Nah' man, 'cus on that basis, you should always spend everything you get.

(, Tue 11 Dec 2012, 15:12, Reply)
if she has more money from her dole
Than she needs for food, accomodation, heating and transport etc then she should give it back.

Otherwise its basically benefit fraud.
(, Tue 11 Dec 2012, 15:17, Reply)
However, if she's opted to go for a lesser-rate of all those in exchange for being able to save, then I think thats fair enough.

(, Tue 11 Dec 2012, 15:21, Reply)
but is it really her money?
or is she "saving" someone else's money?
(, Tue 11 Dec 2012, 15:22, Reply)
the question that i think anyone who is a long term benefit claimant (the ones who could work but choose not to, not the ones who can't work or can't find a job, obviously) needs to ask themselves is:
"where does the money come from?"

do they think the country is a bottomless money pit? or do they think that the rest of us like working every hour god sends to pay for them? in this woman's case, i couldn't care less if you're worse off for working, love. i just want you to pay your share and then i'm v happy for you to get assistance. i don't get it, i would feel horrifically guilty.
(, Tue 11 Dec 2012, 15:21, Reply)
totally this
i have no idea how much i would have to earn before i couldn't spend it all. i suspect it would be a lot more than my current salary. which is pretty fucking generous considering whom they are paying...
