I have to say, PC is probably right.Rather than just saying 'fuck off, you're making this too difficult and frankly it's beneath me' (which you'd be perfectly within your rights to do, however bad that might make you feel),
say 'I'm sorry I can't find the time to work on this project, as *actual* work has got crazy, but here's some contact details of people who might be better suited to you'.
