The above disclaimer is for the following statement.

Bradford is an example of teh decline of the wool industry, a lot of the buildings are very nice, and fact fans, Morecambe (anoter example of a town in decline) Used to be known as Bradford on Sea as the factories used to decamp there for the summer break.

If you see photos of it in the early 1900's
It was a very upmarket seaside town, The Midland Hotel had stautes and plaster work by Eric Gill.

Which is why I don't go
I was born there and it is painful to see it in such a state although Urban splash didn't do a terrible job on the Midland...
