Great news Frank, my homebrew dilemma was sorted.
You can just buy valves, not just lids so I'm getting it delivered tomorrow.

I got a 25l pressure barrel given to me
turns out I need to buy a co2 injector and a 25l bucket and all sorts of other shit so I though fuck it, I'll just make scrumpy in it.

Same here, The lid was fine, so I just bought a valve, an adaptor and some co2 bulbs online. Less than £15

I have 7 gallons of wine that need bottling
and not enough bottles or corks, so I'm just leaving it in the demjohns. I'm sure it will be fine

Don't have space in the wine rack for 42 extra bottles either.
I'll have to invite monty over

Wine should last in the demijohns for as long as you need it.
It's quite hard to pace brewing properly. I need a spreadsheet.

Good good.
Its amazing, you open a bottle of wine and its shit within a couple of days but you can leave it in the jar and rack it loads and its fine. Probably because its shit to start with eh readers!

Yep,
Same with beer. the difference between 1 week and 1 month is amazing. If they last for 3-6 months then they're much better. But who's got enough space to have months and months worth of beer.

I walked past a motorbike shop on the way home last night.
There was a middle aged man staring whistfully through the window, he was almost fogging up the glass.
I thought of you.

I drove past Milton Keynes a couple of weeks ago. Managed to hold my nose all the way past.
I didn't think of you at all.

Only one hand on the wheel AND over the limit*
It's surely only a matter of time before you seriously injure or kill someone.

The only problem I have with HOMEBREW CHAT is that I don't get to taste what is being discussed.
