The BBC and the Acorn were very similar I seem to recall. The games were much better than the early console platform games etc. The Amiga would knock the Nintendo and SNES into a cocked hat for type and number of games. I had over 400 games at one point.
I had to sell it when I started work as I was sitting up until 4 in the morning playing Railroad Tycoon or some other shit.

The Electron was a cut-price BBCwith some of the expensive graphics chips removed. We had one, and an Atari STe, the Atari was way better for games though.
