The only time I tried a toad in t'hole the pudding didn't rise, but I think that's because I didn't sufficiently heat the oil before I stuck it in
I did a cracking date and lamb tagine in December, that might be the best thing I've made recently. Or the pogaca I do, they're nice too, especially warm and snuffled out of a tupperware box in the pub with a nice pint.

Scandinavian stuff just seems to be fish or reindeer with potatoes or black bread, and Peruvian is just rice and potatoes or that fish they rot in lemon, load of shite.
