No, I mean I am genuinely a fan of this other band so arranged a cover of one of their songs.
On hearing it they preferred it to their own version and started to play it like us.

My mate's band did a rocked-up 3 guitar cover of Eleanor Rigby at their christmas gig
Everybody kept requesting it at subsequent gigs but they only played it a couple more times as they hadn't asked permission or anything and I think they were bricking it a bit about getting reported.
