I imagine Monty's argument would run along the lines of claiming that all of Hendrix's covers were better than the originalsthen citing "All Along The Watchtower" which, unfortunately, is pretty hard to argue with.

Hendrix was pretty good at covers.He managed the perfect combination of demonstrating his love and reverence for the original, while making it undeniably his own.
