They're too specific, so you need to know the type of virus before pescription.The NHS won't bother doing viral tests for someone who'll get better if they man up for 3-7 days.

They can give you medication to reduce the severity of the symptomsand pretend to listen to you so you get a placebo effect... but yeah, not much.
